Jakarta – Diaz Hendropriyono, Deputy Minister of Environmental (Wamen LH), said he established collaboration with the PDT ministry of villages to accelerate waste problems. Diaz explained that data on waste in Indonesia has reached 56 tonnes per year. While the garbage that piled up reached 1.72 billion tonnes. “So, if piled up, it can be to the air, the problem is very high. Unfortunately, only a little of the garbage we produce per year can be managed, which is only about 39 percent managed, the rest is not managed,” he added. Furthermore, Diaz encouraged that waste management could be handled seriously. He said through the festival, public education could increase about the importance of running waste. “And we must continue to print TPS3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) waste processing, our garbage couch is aimed at every 1 RW unit garbage bank, we support this waste care movement to support the circular economy, and of course the education, and innovation, makes this waste a nation culture,” he said.
