A new comedy series is on its way to Hulu this fall, and it already creates a buzz for its hilarious mix of sports, second chances and full -fledged disguise. Chad Powers, a half -hour original series created with Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, will be premiere on September 30, 2025, with his first two episodes launched on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. Inspired by a viral ESPN+ segment in which the former NFL-Quarterback Eli Manning was used during a soccer football effort, Chad Powers re-tighted the stunt in a full-fledged underdog comedy full of heart and humor. Fast forward eight years: Russ is older, out of options and hunger for a second chance. In a move straight out of Mrs. Doubtfire, he finds himself out again – full of wig, false teeth and new persona – as ‘Chad Powers’, and walks under a false identity to a struggling football team in the southern college. The series follows Russ/Chad while navigating skeptical coaches, suspicious teammates and the chaos of a double life while trying to prove that he is not the same man who blew it years ago. As much a sport drama as it is a comedy, Chad Powers is a story about salvation, resilience and the lengths we are going to. The score was compiled by Natalie Holt (Loki), with Patrick Tuck over editing duties. The series was filmed by Hulu Greenlit in early 2024 and was filmed later that year in Atlanta, Georgia. The show is produced by the 20th television and Barnstorm productions, which mix the authenticity of sports with the energy of a classic sitcom.
