Chao Leji gave a speech at the meeting of the parliamentary leaders of member states

Beijing, October 9 (IANS). At the invitation of Dunyagozel Gulmanova, Speaker of the National Assembly of Turkmenistan, Chao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, delivered a video speech at the second meeting of the member countries’ Neutrality Friends Group. Chao Leji said that the ‘Neutrality Friends Group’ has been advocing a neutrality policy as a core in the last five years and has built up a useful platform for like -minded countries to improve understanding and mutual trust, delve with exchanges and collaboration and practice multilateralism. Chao Leji pointed out that the theme of this meeting, ‘Inter -Parliamentary dialogue: an important way to ensure world peace and trust’ is in time and of far -reaching importance. Legislative bodies have a responsibility to make a positive contribution to the promotion of fair and only global management and the build -up of a community with a shared future for humanity. China is prepared to work with member states of the ‘Neutrality Friends Group’ to implement the four global initiatives, strengthen unity and collaboration, revive multilateralism, improve global management and maintain the international system centered on the United Nations and based on international law.
