Hours before the announcement of the reward, the FBI also placed images of a ‘person of interest’ in a connection to the matter – to help the public identify the individual. Charlie Kirk shot Charlie Kirk-31-year-old and a close ally of President Donald Trump was shot at the University of Utah Valley on Wednesday (September 10). Authorities say the sniper, who was believed to be at university age, fired a single shot in Kirk in the daylight before fleeing on the scene. Law enforcement officers recovered a high-powered Mauser .30-Caliber-Bolt-Axal Road hidden in a wooded area near the campus, along a path they believe the shooter had taken while escaping. The weapon, together with ammunition, undergoes forensic analysis. Videos spread on social media showed that Charlie Kirk was talking in a microphone under a white tent decorated with slogans like ‘The American Comeback’ and ‘Prove Me Wrong’, when the gunfire broke out.
