Harmful chemicals were found in dairies, resulting in the booking of four dairy operators and the suspension of two food safety officers. The food safety department has been alerted from Lucknow level due to the supply of adulterated cheese from rural areas to Delhi-NCR and other cities during festivals. Eight samples were taken from Baba Dairy located on Gomat Road. From here, 45 liters of acid were seized along with other substances, which were used to make cheese. Paneer and its manufacturing materials worth Rs 2.85 lakh were destroyed from here. Five samples were taken from Gagan Ganesh Milk Products Bhura Dairy located on Ramnagar Khair Road, unknown chemical substance was also found here. Food items worth Rs 17 lakh were destroyed from here. Seven samples of cheese, ranipal, chemicals etc. was taken from Rakesh Dairy in Bajna. Goods like ghee and skimmed milk worth Rs 30 thousand were seized from here. Samples of milk, cheese, formalin and fabric bleach etc. was taken from Vishnu Dairy. In this connection, food safety officer of Mant area Jitendra Kumar and food safety officer of Govardhan area Mohar Singh have been suspended. On July 3 and October 14, action was taken against adulterated cheese in Govardhan. For this reason, the food safety officer of Govardhan was also punished. While the license of Ashok Godown in Bajna area has been suspended for supplying counterfeit goods.
