Chhattisgarh: Collector met the residents after walking five kilometers and crossing the river, informed about the government schemes

Bijapur, October 11 (IANS). Collector of the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, Sambit Mishra, set an example of his dedication to development and knowledge of land reality. On Saturday he visits Banguli, a remote village opposite the Indravati River of the Bhairamgarh block. This area has long been affected by a naxal, but now the government’s plans here are gaining momentum. Collector Mishra covered a distance of about 5 kilometers on foot and crossed the river and reached the newly established security camp Banguli and tackled the situation there. He met the security forces and praised their morally, saying that the establishment of safety camps in remote areas will now open new roads for development. The collector said that with mutual coordination between the administration and security forces, development work is now being performed at a rapid rate in the towns across the Indravati under the Niyat Nellanar scheme. On this occasion, he died with the residents and listened to their problems and proposals. The collector assured the residents that all the government schemes would now be expanded to these areas. He said that the residents will now not experience any discomfort in the fields of roads, education, health and livelihoods. During the inspection, Namrata Choubey, CEO of the Panchayat district, also talked to the residents and motivated them to take benefits of different schemes. He informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was provided to the qualifying families permanent homes. With the erection of New Anganwadi building, children will also get better facilities for nutrition and elementary education. Collector Mishra instructed officials that there should be no negligence in expanding the basic facilities in the surrounding towns, including Banguli. He said that the establishment of security camps is not only for safety, but is a symbol to open the doors of development. CEO District Panchayat, Tehsildar, officers from various departments and Pro District Panchayat Bhairamgarh were present in the inspection program. This visit from the collector was not only important from the administrative point of view, but it also brought confidence in the villagers’ mind that the government was really trying to reach their door. The collector’s inspection on foot in remote areas such as Banguli shows that the Bijapur administration is now taking concrete steps to take the development to the last mile.
