He said that it is a big step to free Bastar from red terror. He praised the strategy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, prepared after the Powai attack. They are spreading confusion in the people’s minds. Guns are not being picked up because of lack of development. There are thousand ways of creating protest in democracy by stopping their own development. But now 210 people have gone to the mainstream. returned and thousands of lives saved.” He criticized the previous governments and asked why the investigation report of Jheeram Valley was not shown till date? Previous governments continued to do something, but our intensity is different. Now the public is watching. The interior minister also accepted that this is a positive step. Commenting on the success of the operation, Deputy CM Vijay Sharma said, “In 20 days, the necessary weapons were received from NTRO, DRDO, ISRO, ITBP and NSG. Communities like Banjhi, Chalki, Pujari, Gaita and Perumal of Bastar came forward. Neither BJP nor the government made it an incident, but the society accepted it.” On the role of media, he said, “It is not possible without media. Only your presence brings acceptance.” He assured that Bastar will be Naxal free soon. The Chief Minister said that red terror is being defeated because of good governance, development and trust. This surrender is from Dandakaranya area, where now Northwest Bastar has become completely Naxal free. The government has made a rehabilitation policy, in which surrendered Naxalites will not be forcibly placed in DRG. This is a chance to return home. –IANS shk/as
