ChhattisGarh: Six people dead due to the steel plant falling in Raipur very injured
Raipur, September 26 (IANS). There was a major accident at the Under Construction Godavari Steel Plant in Siltara Chowki, Raipur. Six laborers were killed and six people were seriously injured in the accident. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai expressed sadness over the accident. The accident happened during work, when part of the factory structure suddenly collapsed. Eyewitnesses said there was chaos after the workers ran to save the people trapped in the rubble. Emergency services acted immediately and senior police officers reached the place to coordinate rescue operations and control the growing crowd. Ten injured were taken to a nearby hospital. According to hospital officials, six were pronounced dead. The rest of the people undergo treatment, many of which are included in the ICU due to serious injuries. Outside of the factory, there was an atmosphere of raw, amid restlessness to collect and know the news. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai took note of the accident and expressed deeply sadness. Lakhan Patle, additional SP Raipur told Ians, the unfortunate incident happened in Godavari Steel Powerplant. There was some work in the plant during which a wall fell. Six people were killed in the accident, while the other six people were seriously injured. It is said that AJM was also killed in the accident, while GM was injured. The whole accident is being investigated. One local people said the people of the area were upset because of the accident. People from every region took place here. There is no liability to decide after the accident. Silatara Outpost police have begun an investigation to find out what the reasons for the collapse of the building are. Although the initial investigation showed on structural instability, the authorities did not exclude the possibility of negligence.
