Bagram Airbase Fierce, Trump's warning to Afghanistan, threatened to face consequences
Washington, September 21 (IANS). US President Donald Trump has given Afghanistan a serious warning with the return of Bagram air base to the US. Donald Trump, posted on social media platform Truth Social, wrote: “If Afghanistan did not return the Bagram air base to its manufacturers, that is, the United States, it would be very bad.” US President Donald Trump has previously repeated that Washington has tried to regain this air base. The air base was an important operating center of the US Army after the attacks on September 11, 2001. He addressed reporters on Friday and confirmed that talks with Afghanistan were held on the matter. Bagram Airbase was the largest US military base in Afghanistan. The air base was captured by the Taliban following the return of the US Army in 2021. Meanwhile, the Taliban rule condemned US President Donald Trump’s remark about Bagram. According to Afghanistan’s official report on radio and television (RTA), a senior official of the Afghan on Saturday criticized US President Donald Trump’s remarks for recycling Bagram airball, saying that Afgse never accepted foreign military presence in his country. According to the report of the news agency Xinhua, the government media cited a senior diplomat from the Foreign Ministry, saying: “Afghanistan and the US must negotiate bilateral honors and economic and political relations based on shared interests.” Trump had previously criticized his predecessor Joe Biden for leaving Bagram Airbase during the return of the US Army in August 2021. Trump told reporters in London: “We want to regain it.” Bagram Airbase, 50 km north of Kabul, was the most important military base of American soldiers in Afghanistan during a 20 -year military incidence of US military coalition forces.
