Beijing, June 10 (IANS). In an open meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Central Africa, the Chinese Deputy Permanent Representative at the United Nations urged the International Community to help the Central African countries to deal with current security threats and to provide immediate assistance in responding to serious human challenges. The trial of Lei expressed his concern at the meeting, saying that security challenges in the Central African region remain constant. Lake Chad Basin has increased rather than reducing violence, while the local terrorist attacks are also increased. The position of the eastern part of the Sudan and the Congo Democratic Republic is clearly visible in the region, causing a situation of uncertainty for regional safety and stability. He emphasized that the international community should help these countries to strengthen their independent anti-terrorism capabilities. This includes increasing support in areas such as financial investment, intelligence information and capacity building, so that a solid security line can be established in the area. The deputy representative further said that the human condition of the region has deteriorated due to factors such as armed conflicts and unfavorable weather. The number of refugees and the displaced is gradually increasing and there is a great decrease in financing humanitarian aid. He requested traditional donors to increase the help rather than help the region’s countries overcome these problems. In addition, he reported that some countries in Central Africa still face problems with high deficit, debt and inflation, leading to developmental challenges. Sun emphasized that the international community must increase its support for regional countries in the development of their economies and improve people’s livelihoods. This involves providing more assistance in the generation of employment and the eradication of poverty, as well as regional countries, should help find the development path of their specific national conditions and to achieve economic reforms and stable development.
