Sydney Woman Trapped in Her Sydney Apartment for Six Months – ryan

Tania hasnt touched terra firm in six long months.

Too unwell to use the stairs, a broken lift has left her imprisoned in her apartment, eight Storeys High.

The lift broke down just after tania and her husband pete moved into their top-Floor Rental in Bankstown in Sydney’s South-West.

Their daughter Abbey says the lift occasionally sparks into action, but then fails almost immediately.

“It’s truly, utterly heartbreaking that my mother has not been able to touch the ground in almost six months,” Abbey said.

The company responsible for the lift has proposed an upgrade and say it’s waiting on the go-ahead from the owner’s corporation.
