Chinese president met President of Serbia and Prime Minister of Slovakia

Beijing, May 10 (IANS). Chinese President XI Chinfing met Serbia President Alexander Wusik and Slovakia Prime Minister Robert Fico respectively while attending the ceremony on the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Soviet Union’s Great Patriotic War in Moscow. During a meeting with Serbian President Wusik, Xi Chinfing said that the creation of a ‘shared future community in the new era’ between the two countries after the Serbia’s successful state visit began a strong start and also saw positive results. He emphasized that the world is going through a period of intensive change in a century in the present time, where many risks and challenges are revealed. In such a situation, China and Serbia must focus on their developmental works, while maintaining strategic clarity and stability. He emphasized that the two countries must deepen the cooperation of mutual profits by promoting mutual unwavering friendship and empowering the creation of a common common community of high quality. Xi Chinfing also said that China wants to strengthen strategic coordination with Serbia, including increasing each other’s support, strengthening the trade and investment and producing and operating major projects. He believes that it will provide opportunities for mutual profits and shared progress to the two countries. In the meeting, Serbian President Vusik reiterated that Serbia fully supports the ‘one-spirit theory’ and believes that Thaiwan is an inseparable part of China. His country wants to further increase the economic and business with China. He assured Chinese businesses to invest and trade in Serbia and assured them that they would get a favorable business environment. He also expected China’s active participation in the professional expo to be held in Belgrade in 2027. In a talks between Slovakia’s Prime Minister Fico, Xi Chinfing said China welcomes Slovakia to attend the fourth China central and Eastern European countries as the main guests at the Expo, to promote the export of Slovakia’s high quality products. In addition, China is fortunate to invest more Chinese businesses in Slovakia. He also said that China wants to face challenges with Solidarity and collaboration with Slovakia and other countries and are willing to protect international fairness and justice. He hopes that Slovakia will play an active role in the continuous improvement of the China-European Union ties and further development. Prime Minister Fico said the floor of the Slovakia China strategic partnership is the top priority of the foreign policy of Slovakia. Slovakia will continue on the one-China policy, actively friendly and mutual profit collaboration with China, strengthen trade and investment collaboration and increase the exchange of humanities, to promote more development of bilateral relations. He also said that Slovakia is a fan of China’s position and creative role on issues such as Ukraine, the Middle East, he wants to maintain multilateralism with China, wants to protect the rules of free trade and are willing to maintain the stability of the world’s industrial chain and supply chain.
