Madhaura assembly constituency has been in news not only for its political but also industrial activities. Madhaura Assembly constituency (Saran) is considered a traditional stronghold of RJD. Yaduvanshi Rai, who became MLA in 1995 and 2000, strengthened the roots of RJD in this region. After his death, his son Jitendra Kumar Rai passed on this legacy.
