The Maintenance Directorate (ED) arrested a MLA of the Karnataka congress. The agency also attacked 30 properties and houses of KC Virendra in Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Rajasthan and seized rupees as well as jewelry. This search was taken in a case related to illegal online and offline betting. The relations with Dubai also came to light, the ED said the investigation revealed that the accused was running several online betting sites according to names such as King 567, Raja 567, Papies 003 and Ratna Gaming.
