After marriage, both began living in Hyderabad. However, a few days later, Praveen’s father’s health deteriorated. Praveen returned to his hometown of Narasampalli with his wife Shweta to care for his father. Here, Shweta’s family got the news of their love marriage and homecoming. Shweta’s family attacked Praveen’s home with the intention of taking revenge by throwing chilli powder into his eyes. Shweta’s parents Balnarsimha, Maheshwari and some of her family members filled in a car and reached Praveen’s home. Praveen claimed that the people attacked him and his parents Chittor and Padmala as soon as they arrived. The attackers pitch him and throw chili powder into his eyes and make him helpless. During this time, some neighbors ran to intervene, but the attackers did not listen to anyone. Between the assault, Shweta’s house entered the house. Praveen claims he grabbed Shweta and dragged him out of the house. Then his hands and feet tied and put him in a car for violence and escaped from the place. This entire violent and shocking incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed at Praveen’s home, which included the police in their investigation. The man accused the in-laws of registering a case of kidnapping his wife against his mother-in-law and other family members in the Kesara police station after this horrific incident, Praveen. Praveen pleaded in front of the police: “Sir, I can do everything to my wife. Help me. I want my wife back.” Praveen expressed their anxious that Shweta’s family could harm her. Police have registered a case under parts of attempted murder, assault and kidnapping based on Praveen’s complaint. Police started investigating the case and are looking for Shweta’s family based on CCTV footage. This incident emphasizes the cruel reality of violence in the name of Inter -Caste or Inter -religious love marriage in a part of Indian society.
