An interesting project which is showcased (& partially supported by) and being discussed by the Hifa (Healthcare Information for All) Community at the moment: MHEALTH -INNOVATE: Exploring Healthcare Informal Workers of Personal Mobile Phones – Research Findings and Implications for Policy and Practice. The researchers did a systematic revix and carria out ot Qualitative studies in uganda. “Informal use” means that healthcare workers are ussing their Own Personal Phones to Carry Out Various Functions to Do Caring for Patients.
There is a short video (nb the embedded video tels with meed to sign in vimeo, but if you follow the link to You don’t have to sign in) and a summary report.
Obviously this gits a lot of insight into information behaviour etc. and it is international in scope.
