President Trump has proposed a new dollar investment in the private Mars exploration program

New -Delhi, May 31 (IANS). The US government, led by President Donald Trump, has proposed a new dollar investment for the Mars exploration program. In the Withuis budget proposal on Friday, the 2026 budget proposal granted more than seven billion for the Moon Exploration. In the budget document, it is said: “By launching more than seven billion for Moon Exploration and by launching a new investment of one billion dollars for Mars-centered programs, the budget ensures that efforts to explore the human space of the US remains unique, innovative and skilled.” The budget proposal also contains a new NASA initiative called Commercial Mars Payload Services Program (CMPS). Like the previous CLPS program for commercial lunar load (CMPs), CMPS aims to take advantage of expertise and investment in the Private Sector for Space Exploration. The new proposal says that NASA will provide contracts, communication systems and landing vehicles to promote the exploration of Red Planet. The budget proposal in particular reduced NASA financing by six billion dollars compared to a level of 2025, which was from $ 24.8 billion to $ 18.8 billion, which is a 24 percent cut. The budget is most cut for spatial science ($ 2.3 billion), Earth Science ($ 1.2 billion) and a legacy human exploration system (about $ 90 million). If implemented, NASA’s programs such as Mars Monsters Returns and GateWays will be affected. The budget document states that “according to Nasa’s objectives to return to the moon before China and send man to Mars, the budget will reduce the research by low priority. -Ians Sch/Ekd Share this story Tags
