CM Adityanath requested the youth to spend less time on smartphones and read more books

Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday called on children and youth to spend more time reading books that increase knowledge and creativity and spend less time on smartphones. During the inauguration of the fourth Gomti Book Festival, AdityAnath told Lucknow University: “The book of Mela will be presented in Lucknow University for the next nine days, where the visitors will experience knowledge and youth.” It is requested to spend less time on the smartphone and read at least one hour of creative and informative books a day. Adityanath, who gives the example of Indian way and mystical, said that wise like Yajnvalkya showed the way of knowledge to society. While telling the story of Sage Yajnevalkya and his wives Katyayani and Maitreyi, he said that the discovery of knowledge should be the highest life purpose. He emphasized that reading and progress has always been part of the legacy of India, which is consistent with Premier Narendra Modi’s message that “when citizens study, the country is moving forward.” Adityanath, with an emphasis on the message of ‘healthy women, a strong society’, said that if women are healthy, society and nation will also be strong. He called on the children of all Lucknow schools to join the Book Festival and urged each student to buy at least one book.
