Cm has ordered compensation for crop loss within 24 hours
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday ordered officials to conduct a survey immediately to determine the damage caused to the crops of the farmers due to rain and hailstorm in various places in Uttar Pradesh late Wednesday and Thursday morning. He instructed all DMs, SDMs and Tehsildars to immediately visit the areas concerned and perform a detailed survey. The survey report must be submitted to the government, so that compensation can be distributed directly to the farmers’ accounts within 24 hours. Yogi said that there should be no negligence in the compensation process. He warned that strict action will be taken against any officer who neglects his duties. Uttar Pradesh Minister Surya Pratap Shahi said: “The Yogi government is fully committed to helping the farmers concerned. District officials were asked to speed up the assessment of damage to the distribution of relief.” After the survey, the revenue section will provide compensation for crop loss in collaboration with insurance companies. The weather suddenly worsened Wednesday night, causing strong winds, hailstorms and lightning incidents in different areas.
