Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday inaugurated the electric bus service from Jyotisar to Pipli. He blocked off ten electric buses on behalf of the Department of Transport in Haryana. After the inauguration, the chief minister himself traveled from Jyotisar to Pipli in an EV bus. This bus service was started with the ease of tourists coming to Dharmakshetra Kurukshetra from India and abroad. These ten buses, started under the Electric Mobility Mission 2020, will run on different routes. Chief Minister Saini said the government has decided to take a total of 500 buses and 50-50 e-buses for 10 municipal corporations Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak, Hisar, Gurugram and Faridabad to provide bus service for public transport. Due to the proximity to Delhi, Gurugram and other nearby cities and suburbs, there will be 50 buses for Rewari. The department decided to purchase 12 meter standard floor 375 AC electric buses below the gross cost contract (GCC) model. 5 buses each in Panipat, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panchkula, Hisar, Rohtak, Rewari, Sonipat and 10 E-Bus Services were started in Ambala. He said that this city bus service will not only benefit the Citizens of Kurukshetra, but will also reduce pollution and noise pollution to zero. Separate city bus service depots are also built in all ten cities to operate 375 buses. In this, the construction of Panipat Electric Bus Depot was completed, while the work in Yamunanagar will soon be completed.
