CM Sukhu Meet The Chairman of the Finance Commission, sought more funds for Himachal Pradesh

New -Delhi, May 24 (IANS). Himachal Pradesh, chief minister, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, on Saturday dr. Arvind Panagariya, chairman of the Finance Commission in New -Delhi, met. During this time, the state government officials presented the chief minister before the commission and also submitted a state of the state. During the meeting, the chief minister of Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu requested to increase the fund allocation for the state. He said that the mountainous states of the country are geographically facing different challenges. Therefore, they must get their right right. The state also demanded a green bonus for public services to maintain the protection of the environment and the ecosystem. The chief minister said the state had suffered damage due to a lack of tax on goods and services (GST) and that the state should receive proper compensation for this. He also said that the revenue shortage for Himachal Pradesh should be increased and not gradually abolished. During the meeting, Dr. Panagariya assured that the commission would consider the state’s request. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu also posted on the social media platform X for this meeting.
