Lucknow, October 11 (IANS). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath once again took a strict stance to stop the incidents of stubble in Uttar Pradesh Brand. The chief minister gave clear instructions to the officials of all departments involved that the incidents of stubble burning in the financial year 2025-26 should be reduced to ‘zero’. Detailed guidelines in this regard have already been issued in terms of the government order. The chief minister said that the burning of stubble increases environmental pollution and also has a serious influence on public health. Therefore, farmers must be made aware of alternative measures for crop residue management. All district lands are constantly constantly monitoring the incidents of stubble burning by satellite and special vigilance in sensitive districts. According to the instructions issued, environmental remuneration will be set on the burning of crop residues. A fine of Rs 2,500 was set for less than two hectares, Rs 5,000 for two to five hectares and Rs 15,000 for more than five hectares. A nodal officer will be appointed for every 50 to 100 farmers who will ensure the prevention of incidents of stubble. The chief minister also called on public representatives to work on this campaign and said that the purpose of a clean environment and pollution -free state can only be achieved through joint efforts. According to the instructions, district landlords were asked to appoint a nodal officer for 50/100 farmers while identifying hotspots. Nodal officials need special instructions to reduce the incidents of stubble burning to zero. In addition, incidents of burning crop residues should be reduced to zero by monitoring the harvest time through district, tehsil, development block and regional staff of income, police, agriculture, rural development and Panchayati Raj departments.
