Jakarta – The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas Ham) and 5 institutions formed an independent team of the National Human Rights Institution (LN HAM). The team will later look at facts, including the chaos of the demonstration that took place yesterday 2025 at the end of August 2025. “For this afternoon, we want to announce that six human rights institutions have formed an independent team to find the facts of the demonstration and riots of August-September 2025,” said Anis Hidayah, chairman of Komnas Ham, at a press conference in the National Human Rights Commission Building, Jakarta, Friday (12/9/2025). The six national human rights institutions consist of the National Human Rights Commission, the National Commission for Anti -Violence against Women (Komnas Wanita), the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia (ORI), the Institute of Witness and the Victim Protection (LPSK), and the National Disability Commission (KND). Anis said the LN finding team of this was to find more comprehensive facts related to the August 2025 event. “And also an extensive report based on their respective authorities, where the six institutions have also made efforts for more than a week in accordance with the authority of their respective institutions, both to the field or coordinate with the parties,” Anis said. Meanwhile, Komnas Wanita Commissioner, Sondang Frishka, said the team was formed because the incident caused ten lives last August, one of them was women.
