The first 'Dgar Manipur State Level Judo Championship 2025' in Manipur is a wonderful debut
IMPHAL, SEPTEMBER 14 (IANS). Games were created in Manipur’s capital Imhal. The first ‘Dgar Manipur State Level Judo Championship 2025’ was inaugurated on Sunday with pump in the Khuman Lampak Binnish Houses Stadium. The three -day event is held under the joint Aegis of Assam Rifles (Dgar) and Manipur Judo Association (MJA). About 500 youth from six districts of the state try their power in different divisions. This championship will not only be a platform to improve talent, but also play an important role in strengthening the game spirit. Dig Igar Ananya Boral was the main gas during the inauguration ceremony. He spoke to Ians and said that this event is a matter of pride for him. He said: “It is a privilege for me to win the first Dgar Manipur State Judo Championships 2025. The program is based on MJA’s proposal, which began to promote sports. Assam rifles have always been active in the empowering youth. He hoped that this joint effort would be a strong platform for the emerging judocations. Our goal is to identify potential players and reach national and international levels. The Manipur Judo Association gets a chance to improve new talents. Boral said the championship will offer sub-junior, junior and senior classes, which will be arranged according to IJF and JFI rules. Secretary Secretary of Manipur Judo Association, Soibam Indkumar, also appreciated the opportunity. He said: “This championship is a step to take judo to new heights in the state. Manipur has always been a fortress of judo, from where world champions like Lintoi Chanambam were a world champion.” Indrakumar said the MJA works with the Inspirational Institute of Sports (IIS), which works together on training and grassroots tournaments.
