Happy Gilmore is returning to theaters!

Adam Sandler’s beloved 1996 sports comedy about a failed hockey player turned golf sensation is returning to the big screen in April for two days ahead of Netflix’s highly anticipated sequel Happy Gilmore 2 that debuts July 25.

Presented by Fandangothe screenings will take place on April 27 and April 30.

Sandler, 58, is set to reprise his role from the first film, in which he played an aspiring hockey player with a powerful slapshot that can’t skate or control his temper. When the IRS repossesses his grandmother’s house, Happy enters a PGA tour (after learning he can drive balls to extraordinary lengths) to win enough money to settle her debts and get her home back.

At the premiere of Sandler’s comedy special Adam Sandler: Love You last August, the comedian and actors told PEOPLE how excited he was to bring the sequel to life.

“Well, we worked hard trying to write something that we thought people would have a good time with, and I’m more than excited, probably the most excited I’ve been in many years to shoot something,” he shared.
