Drugs worth Rs 1.228 crore in Imhal 2022, 703 Detention, cm revealed

A revelation was made on December 30 by Manipur’s Chief Minister, a Biren Singh, on the number of drug cases recorded in Manipur News Desk, 2022. The list has long been with a lot of recovery and arrests by the department. According to the international market, drugs worth 1.228 crore from smugglers were recovered and about 703 people were caught by police in connection with the cases. In 2022, the largest number of complaints was filed on 497. Since the beginning of this year, there has been a continuous war on drugs in the state of Manipur. CM N Biren, however, said the seizure of medicine 500 kg of brown sugar and 560 kg opium and heroin. A 1.780 hectare of illegal opium plantation was detected and destroyed by the department. It is noteworthy that there was a significant decrease in the ratio of opium cultivation this year. In 2021, illegal plantation was done on 6,742 hectares of land, while the number dropped to 1,118 hectares this year. This information was unveiled by a survey in 2022.
