Connectivity will improve with new railway projects: PM Modi
New -Delhi, June 11 (IANS). The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) led by Premier Modi approved two multi-tracking projects in the Indian Railway Network, including an investment of Rs 6,405 crore. As far as this is concerned, PM Modi has expressed confidence that it will improve connectivity and business. Apart from this, stability will also be promoted. On the social media platform X, the prime minister said: “Today, two important projects associated with railway have been approved. These projects that cover different states will improve connection, trade and also promote stability.” The first project is related to the doubling of the 133 km long Koda-Barkakana railway, which goes through a large coal-producing area of Jharkhand. It also works as the smallest and most effective rail connection between Patna and Ranchi. The second project includes doubling the 185km Lange Ballari-Chikajur railway, which goes through Ballari and Chitradurga districts in Karnataka and Anantapur districts of Andhra Pradesh. The landing of Koderm, Chatra, Hazaribagh and Ramgarh districts in Jharkhand will increase the connection of Koderm, Chatra, Hazaribagh and Ramgarh in Jharkhand, and the railway facilities will expand between Patna and Ranchi of Jharkhand, the railway of the Double of the railway. The Railways Minister said that the track is not only going through a large coal -producing area of Jharkhand, but is also the smallest and most capable rail connection between Patna and Ranchi. This project will benefit 1.5 million population of 938 towns. The project contains a total of 17 large bridges, 180 small bridges, 42 Robs (Railway over bridges) and 13 rubbed (railroad under bridge). The Minister of Railways said that the transport of 30.4 million tonnes of goods will be possible through this route. This will benefit the environment. 32 million liters of diesel would be consumed annually when the load is carried by road. Due to its saving, the decline in the emission of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is equal to the plant of 7 million trees. The Union Cabinet also approved the doubling of the 185km Lange Ballari-Mikajur track, moving through several districts of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, which costs Rs 3,342 crore. -Ians PSK/DSC shares this story Tags
