Connie Britton Cast in HBO’s Steve Carell Comedy Series – ryan

Exclusive: Five-Time Emmy Nominee Connie Britton (The White Lotus, Friday Night Lights) Has Joined The As-Yet-Untitled HBO Original Comedy Series from Bill Lawrence (Ted lasso, Shrinking) and matt tarses (Scrubs, The Goldbergs) nor a recurring guest star. She Will Play the Ex-Wiffe of Lead Steve Carell’s Character.

She joins the previously announced Cast Including Charly Clive, Danielle Deadwyler, Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley and Lauren Tsai.

The comedy series is set on a College Campus and Follows an Author’s (Carell) Complicated Relationship with His Daughter (Clive).

Lawrence and Tarsses Wrote the first of 10 Half-Hour Episodes. Lawrence Executive Produces the Series with Jeff Iff and Liza Katzer of Doazer Productions, Tarsses, Jonathan Krisel, Barbie Adler, Annie Mebane, David Stassen, Anthony King and Carell. David Hyman Will Co-EP. The comedy is produced by doizer in association with Warner Bros Television, Where Lawrence’s Doozer Banner and Tarsses have overdue deals.

Briton recently starred in the netflix miniseries Zero dayWorking Opposite Robert de Niro; The Apple TV+ Series Dear Edward; and appeared in the Prime Video Comedy Series Overcompensing From Benito Skinner. Before, she stays in the first season of friend White’s HBO Series The White Lotuswhich earned her a fifth emmy nomination, and the first installment of Bravo/USA Anthology Series Dirty John. She is spread Best Known for Playing Tami Taylor on Nbc’s Friday Night Lightsa sports drama from Peter Berg, who cameloped the series inspired by the nonfiction novel (1990) by Hg Bissinger.
