Former CBI DSP's bail pleader in Himachal Scholarship Scam case rejected

The special judge of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Alka Malik on Tuesday rejected the regular bail of the CBI Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Balbir Singh. This is the second time in five months when the CBI Court rejected the usual bail of the DSP. Earlier on April 24 this year, the court rejected its bail petition and said that the accused played an important role in the crime and became a medium of claim and acceptance of bribes by co-accused. As the investigating officer of the Himachal Pradesh bursary fraud and the then deputy superintendent of the CBI police, he was well aware of the complainant and other facts in the case and abused his official position to enjoy such corrupt behavior. The decision on various arguments given in the bail request in relation to the authenticity of the evidence collected by the CBI in this case requires the decision, “the court said. The facts of the case reveal the involvement in the applicant’s crime. Prosecution argued that the investigation was still underway.
