Crowd street vendors threw in the streets of Solan in front of the Shulini Fair
The state level Shulini Fair is scheduled to start over the weekend, a herd of irregular street vendors on every corner of Solan’s prestigious Mall Road and Rajgarh Road caught herds, most of which came from neighboring states such as Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. Their goal: To take advantage of religious and commercial enthusiasm around the three -day festival, in which thousands of visitors come daily. While Solan Municipal Corporation (MC) officially assigns limited stalls to specified locations such as some ground and old bus stalls, most sellers ignore the official registration and catch the footpaths, open places and even in front of the shops – which contribute significantly in the crowd of the city. The municipal commissioner Ekta Kapata confirmed the situation. He said: “We assigned 15 stalls in a few sites and six more stalls at the old bus stall. The rest set stalls without any permission. Despite the start of a joint campaign with the police to remove it, they were on the site, some kept closing the stalls during the day.” Capta said the administration is now planning to charge a fee to occupy public places of these sellers. From toys, cosmetics and street food to tools, tools and home decorations, the presence of these temporary sellers selling items can give them good business, but it makes the lives of locals difficult. The number of additional people and the limited road space is stuck daily, even emergency vehicles struggle to get out of the crowd. It is alleged that Mall Road shop owners are also involved, enabling sellers to set up stalls outside their premises for profit participation in profits. Many sellers arrive a few days before the fair and often stay a few days, leading to long -term festivals for long -term citizens. Share this story -tags
