Patna, September 23 (IANS). The historic meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), the top policy unit of the congress part, will be held at Sadaqat Ashram in Patna on Wednesday. All the major leaders of the party will be involved in this meeting and the party’s strategy will be decided on the upcoming election in the Bihar meeting. Just a day before the meeting, KC Venugopal, general secretary of the congress, called it a ‘historic event’ on the social media platform ‘X’. He said: “Bihar has always had an important place in the legacy of Congress, and the same heritage will be in the center in the extensive CWC meeting of tomorrow.” Venugopal reminded how Bihar the birthplace of national leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi’s Champaran Satyagraha to Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Babu Jagjivan Ram were. He said: “Bihar stands on two paths again. On the one hand, there is politics of hope, social justice and development and on the other there is politics of hatred, violence, unemployment and destruction of Constitution. In such a situation, this meeting is a clear message that Congress is with the people of Bihar.” Venugopal made a stunned attack on the BJP, claiming that the ‘special intensive review (SIR)’ process ‘was spoiled in the state and is part of the BJP’s’ voting theft ‘strategy’. He said the BJP weakened democracy by targeting elections. He also appreciated the ‘voter Adhikar Yatra’ taken out by Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav and other leaders of the India Alliance, which created an awareness among the public against the election. This important meeting will include more than 170 Leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Telangana Chief Minister Rewant Reddy, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukkhu and Senior Leader Ashok Gehok, Sachin pilot, Shashi Tharoor, etc. The meeting is expected to pass proposals on issues such as inflation, unemployment, women’s safety and election reforms. The strategy for sharing seats with the India Alliance can also be completed. -Ians VKU/DSC
