Bride Takes Sleeping Pills on Wedding Day by Mistake, Here’s What Happened – ryan

A bride’s wedding morning took a dramatic turn when a series of unfortunate events led her to take sleeping pills accidentally instead of painkillers.

Jade Jensen, 27, from South Australia, posted about the series of events in a viral TikTok videowhich reached over 2.2 million views. A bump on the head led her to a drowsier wedding day than she anticipated; Jensen told Newsweek all about how it went and whether or not she was able to recover.

“Little does she know she’s about to open this bottle of champagne and the cork will hit her forehead the morning of her wedding, and she’ll accidentally take two Restavit instead of Nurofen,” Jensen captioned the video.

Jensen said she was kicking off her wedding-day celebrations with a bridal brunch for her friends who had traveled from across Australia when it all started.

“I was opening a bottle of Veuve to start the morning tea when I took the cage off and wasn’t holding tight enough when the cork, full speed, hit my forehead,” Jensen said.

Concerned more about developing a bruise or “egg” on her head than the pain, Jensen rushed to the freezer.

“My make up artist, who is also a nurse, suggested I go take a Nurofen,” Jensen said. Feeling “emotional and anxious at the thought of a egghead,” she quickly searched through her medicine box. “I picked up a silver packet with smooth white pills and popped two … I immediately panicked.”

“Half-a-pill puts me to sleep, so two whole pills was going to put me in a coma,” Jensen added. “I ran to the toilet in an attempt to get them out. I wasn’t sure if I had, as I had just eaten breakfast.”

Overwhelmed, Jensen said she was grateful for the support around her. While she was overwhelmed, her mother and close friends were there to support and soothe her. Her mom even went to tell her future husband what had happened.

Thankfully, reassurance came before the ceremony: “My mom assured him closer toward the ceremony that I was doing OK, and he felt a lot calmer knowing I wasn’t going to be a sleeping bride,” Jensen said.

The day’s mishaps didn’t end with the medication mix-up, either. As Jensen walked down the aisle, her dog added to the unpredictability. “To top off the day, I wore a three-metre (10-foot) veil, which was ripped out of my hair as I walked down the aisle,” Jensen said. “This was thanks to our kelpie (working dog), Sassy, excited to greet me as I walked down.”

Despite the champagne-cork injury, the sleeping-pill scare and the veil incident, Jensen said she looks back on the day with laughter. Reflecting on the series of comical disasters, she added, “It was absolutely hilarious, and overall, an unforgettable wedding.”
