Legislators Critical Distribution of MBG Founder: Transfer of Responsibility
Jakarta member of the House of Representatives Commission IX, Nurhadi, criticized the implementation of the free nutritious eating program (MBG) that was recently crowded because it was distributed in raw materials such as groceries. He also reminded that government programs should not tax the community. “Do not have the intention of dividing nutritious foods, because the community must first process it. The value of the package alone is different,” Nurhadi told reporters on Thursday (6/19/2025). Nurhadi has determined that the distribution of MBG packages in the form of raw materials should be an evaluation of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). He said BNG should be responsible for the priority program of the Government of President Prabowo Subianto. However, if the implementation causes public confusion, mainly because assistance in the form of raw materials is channeled without clear technical instructions, we must evaluate it thoroughly,” he said. Nurhadi underlines that the provision of raw food packages is the same as the grocery programs whose context of MBG differs. He referred to the transfer of responsibility of BGN. “If so, we have to ask, this MBG program is really in favor of the community or just to abort obligations? Because it becomes the same as the grocery program also run by the government,” Nurhadi said. “When nutritional aid is distributed in the form of raw materials without guidelines, without cooking tools, without even considering community recording, it is no longer a nutritional intervention program, but it is a transfer of responsibility,” he continued. His party spread to thousands of students in 18 schools, ranging from Paud/Nursery School to High School level. “Rice is given in the form of RAW, so it can be brought home longer,” he said. Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana opened his voice. He argued that BGN did not issue MBG policy in the form of RAW. “BGN has no policy to provide raw materials,” Dadan told reporters.
