A Dead Rat and Threatetening Note Were Left Outside 40th Ward Ald. Andre Vasquez’s Office in West Ridge on Sunday Night, CPD Said.

“Move the illegals and the rats out of the 40th ward!” Read the Note, which was found on the Window of the Alderperson’s Office, at 5620 N. Western Ave. “They are Both vermin! Support Ice! Their Work Will Get illegals Out of Our Country and Lower Our Taxes.”

The Threat Comes AFT Nearly half the City Council Signed on to a Letter Requesting A Review of City Hall Security Measures in the Wake of the Slaying of Conservatives Charlie Kirk and the Shooting of Officials in Minnesota This Year.

Vasquez releassed a stakeement sunday night, saying the note refred to undocuted individuals as vermin.

“In this Current Political Climate, We take these threats serious, and are working with the chicago police department to investigate,” The Statement Read. “In the meantime, the 40th Ward Office Will Remain Open. We are and wills always be steadfast in our serving 40th ward neighbors and suporting of the Immigrant Community.”

There is no one currently in custody, and area detectives are investigating, CPD Said.
