Decided to support support after intensive study on WAQF Amendment Bill: BJD
Bhubaneswar, April 5 (IANS). Both Houses of Parliament approved the Waqf Amendment Bill. Now this law will be made after the president has been approved. Political reactions continue after the bill was transferred from Parliament. In this relief, Debi Mishra, Vice President of Biju Janata Dal (BJD), issued a detailed statement in favor of the bill in the Rajya Sabha. He gave clear information about the party’s approach and decision -making process on the issue. Debi Mishra, while talking to the news agency, said it was a matter of intensive consultation. Our MPs were given the freedom to analyze the situation. A month ago, the party decided to oppose the bill. However, since then, there have been many incidents that have led to new concerns and concerns, especially with streams that can weaken the powers of minority institutions. He said the party has always been committed to protecting the real rights of minorities. In a true democratic system, cultural and constitutional rights of all communities must be protected, including minority communities. The BJD chief Naveen Patnaik trusts in this principle. Many types of confusion and concerns arose during the discussions in the home, through which we received Rajya Sabha -LPs the freedom to do academic and legally intensive analysis of the provisions of this bill. I want to make it clear that he has been given complete freedom to make deep studies and informed decisions on the issue. He said this decision is not in favor of the NDA or ‘India’ alliance or in opposition. We are a regional party and our policy has always been to maintain equal distance. We are also always committed to protecting the rights of minorities. Debi Mishra said some persons in the Waqf Council were concerned about the abuse of power, but that a great fear of weakening minority institutions should be addressed. For this reason, our MPs were requested to do an intensive study of this bill, to consider independently and to express their views. -Ians PSK/Ekd Share this Story Tags
