Hostel closed in Damoh and counted students in schools, applied to take council exams again
The Board of Secondary Education is working on the class 10th and 12th council exams for supplementary and failed students next month. Today, ie May 21, is the last date to apply for council exams. As a result, schools were also opened, but students reached school in very few numbers. The residences are closed and the distance from the school becomes a big problem for the students coming from the towns. It affects their studies. A similar view was also seen in the Tendukheda block of the Damoh district. When collecting information, schooling was found to be in the morning, but that children cannot come to school from home in time. In Tendukheda block, 90 percent of children who fail in the council investigation are from rural areas. They all studied in the residence throughout the year, but even after the school was opened, the residences were closed, so the children were experiencing major problems. In such a situation, teachers come to school regularly, but attending students are very low. The teachers said that a second exam for the failed students was taken. These classes were started for the purpose of succeeding, but only eight to ten percent of the failed students come to school. Teachers say they have regular contact with parents and students. Parents promise to send their children, but teachers cannot understand why the children are not coming. This is also a reason. In the collection of information from schools, it was found that children from rural areas who studied earlier in residences were now affected due to the closure of both school and residences. Schools have been opened to take exams and classes for the second time, but residences are still closed. In such a situation, even if the children want to go to school, it is not possible because schools are far from their homes. In this context, many parents said that if residences are opened next to the school, children can stay there and study. There are various residences that work in Tendukheda block, hostel closed in Tendukheda, which is still closed. After discussing the opening of the school and closing the residence of some superintendents, he said that we also received some students’ phones, who sought information about the residences. According to the rules, the residences were closed, but last year, at the command of the collector, the residences were opened for the students to stay. No such order has come so far this year. If the order is received, the residences will be opened. May 21 is the last date. Tendukheda Beo Nitesh Pandey said classes started for the second exam. Students who want to sit in the exam again can submit the form by Wednesday 21 May. In this, students who have scored low points can also apply. If the distance becomes an impediment in the education of children, arrangements can be made to open residences for them. Collector Sudhir Kochhar says that if there is a problem due to the closure of the residence, they will investigate the matter. Share this story -tags
