Decorate the cloth of 'Missing Ladies' with six months of research, local arts and photography: Kiran Rao

Mumbai, October 15 (IANS). The film ‘Lapata Ladies’, directed by Kiran Rao, received 13 awards during the recently held Film Fare Awards. The film plays Sparsh Srivastava, Nitanshi Goyal, Pratibha Ranta, Chhaya Kadam and Ravi Kishan. It tells the story of two newlywed daughters -in -law who accidentally cross paths during a train journey. Then start the journey of laughter, drama and life lessons. The film provides a fresh perspective on the empowerment of women, for which it was greatly appreciated. Kiran Rao had a special conversation with Ians about the success of this film. In this, Kiran Rao said that he and his team did a lot of research for the film. For this he examined local art and photography for six months, only then could his world come alive on the screen. Kiran Rao talked about the production design, saying: “I was sure the film would have the most impact if we created a world that didn’t feel artificial. It had the right beauty of Indian villages, without any artificiality, without making it look bright or attractive. We also avoided being inspired by local art and art.
