Armed robbers looted Rs 1.26 crore from the businessman's house, held family hostage
In Patna, armed criminals looted cash and valuable articles worth about 1.26 crore from a local businessman’s home. The incident happened at 10:30 a.m. at about 10:30 on Saturday morning in the Nalanda colony of the Agamkuan police station. According to police, five unidentified people forcibly entered the home of Santosh Prakash, son of deceased Ramakant Prasad. The attackers took family members on a firearm hostage and looted jewelry worth about 1.25 crore and cash of Rs 1.25 Lakh. Santosh Prakash, who traded auto parts, informed police after the robbers escaped. A team from the Agamkuan police station reached the place with senior officials, including Dr. K Ramdas, SP of East Patna and an investigation began. Dog Squad and Forensic Science Team were also deployed to help gather evidence and help identify criminals. Based on the written complaint of Prakash, a case under case 290/25 is registered with the Agamkuan police station. Police said attempts had been made to identify and arrest the accused.
