Delhi: Encounter between police and miscreants, one criminal arrested, police inspector injured
New Delhi, October 22 (IANS). The Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) and AATS (Anti Auto Theft Squad) team of Dwarka Police of National Capital Delhi arrested wanted criminal Rishabh alias Hrithik alias Dancer in a murder case in Bindapur Police Station area after an encounter. During this, an inspector was injured by the bullet of the accused. The police received information from the informer that Rishabh alias Hrithik alias Dancer was going to come to Sector-3 area of Dwarka on Tuesday night. On receiving information, a team under the supervision of Inspector Subhash Chand (ANC) and Inspector Kamlesh Kumar (AATS) laid siege. When the police team tried to catch the accused, he started firing at the police. The police also had to open fire in retaliation. Accused Hrithik was injured in the fire and was immediately taken to Indira Gandhi Hospital. At the same time, ANC Inspector Subhash Chand was also shot in the left hand, who was admitted to Venkateshwar Hospital. Police officials said that on the night of August 18, a person named Kuldeep was stabbed to death in Bindapur. Hrithik Dancer, the main accused in this case, was absconding. According to sources, after committing the murder, he got in touch with local criminals and roamed around trying to eliminate witnesses. He told that Rishabh alias came to Sector-3 of Dwarka to carry out some big incident. The police have been looking for him for a long time. The arrested criminal is interrogated. Many other cases can be revealed. The police are also trying to find out why he killed Kuldeep. Rishabh was wanted in a murder case registered at the Bindapur police station. The police recovered a sophisticated pistol, two live cartridges and two empty cartridges from the accused. A separate criminal case has been filed against the accused at the Dwarka North police station and further investigation into the case is underway.
