Delhi Shocker: The 49-year-old man dies after falling off the flyover, with a vehicle in Pandav Nagar overflowed
A 49-year-old man has died after allegedly “falling from a flying” and “transferred” early Thursday by a vehicle “in the East Delhi’s Pandav Nagar area, police said. The incident occurred at about 12 o’clock near the Manglam Cut fly on National Highway-24, the authorities added. It was not immediately clear whether the man was a ‘pedestrian’ or at the time with a vehicle. “A car and a scooter were found on the spot in a damaged condition, but the injured had already been moved to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital by the time a police team reached there,” the Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Abhishek Dhania said. In the hospital, doctors declared that the victim had died. He was later identified as Rakesh Kumar Agarwal, a resident of Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, the officer said. According to the complainant, Amit Kumar, a car driver, he was driving in the direction of Ghazipur when he saw a man from the airport falling on the service path. The serious injured man was rushed to a hospital in Kumar’s car with the help of a few bystanders, the DCP added. The preliminary investigation indicates that an unknown heavy vehicle may have hit the victim on the overalls, which led to the fall, police said. A case is registered under the appropriate division of the BNS at the Pandav Nagar police station and further investigation is underway, they added.
