Here the work of beautifying both the banks of Yamuna is going on at a rapid pace. To ensure that Chhath warts do not face any problem in offering Arghya, a separate pond is prepared by making a small pond along with the river at the ghat. It will be filled with three feet of clean water for the offering of Arghya, so that the devotees can easily stand in the water and offer Arghya to the setting and rising Sun God without any difficulty. Among administrative arrangements, special arrangements are also made for VIP devotees at Vasudev Ghat. A platform was prepared by building a prop on the bank of Yamuna by placing separate wooden posts in it. At the same time, on the other side of Vasudev Ghat, a temporary convenient ramp is also being prepared to facilitate the access of devotees to the ghat from the flyover constructed over Yamuna for Chhath Puja and for the safety of the devotees, dense barricading is being done by installing bamboo fences on the ghats of Yamuna on the banks. On the other hand, the joy of the festival is also at its peak at ITO Ghat. A well-equipped stage is being built here for grand presentation of cultural programs. While the bridge built across the Yamuna at Vasudev Ghat is also decorated with colors and attractive lights, making the view of the Yamuna banks a sight to behold. The land of Ghat Park is specially prepared for worship. Lieutenant Governor took the preparations. Taking stock of the preparation at Vasudev Ghat, Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena and Arts, Culture and Language Minister Kapil Mishra jointly inspected Vasudev Ghat on Thursday. During this, Minister Mishra, while targeting the previous government, said that the Kejriwal government deliberately banned Chhath Puja for six years and insulted the Purvanchals, but now the people of Purvanchal will be able to worship in the traditional way on the Yamuna banks with ‘self-respect and pride’. He also gave detailed instructions to the officials to complete all the preparations in a time bound manner.
