Delhi: Traffic leads due to Ramlila and Dussehra, many routes have changed
New -Delhi, September 20 (IANS). Ramlila and Dussehra Festival will be arranged in Lalkila Maidan in the capital Delhi from 22 September to 3 October 2025. During this time, a large number of spectators will gather in red Qila and surrounding areas. In light of the crowd and traffic pressure, Delhi traffic police made special arrangements so that traffic could go smoothly during this period and there is no discomfort for the people. During this event, the traffic of Netaji Subhash Marg, Delhi Gate to Chhatta Rail Chowk will be completely banned. DTC boxes and other commercial vehicles are derived from 17:00 to 12 hours. Not only will it control the crowd on the red Qila and the surrounding routes, but the drivers will also get information in time to change the route. Special arrangements have also been made for parking. The parking space for UN label vehicles is scheduled in Madhavdas Park, Tikona Park, Sunhari Mosque, Parade Ground, Dangal Maidan, Omax Mall and Church Mission Road. At the same time, label container vehicles are parked in specific set areas for different committees and organizers. Traffic Center Series DCP Nishant Gupta has made a special appeal to the public to avoid parking along the road and use more metro or public transport. He said it is very important to follow the guidelines of the police so that not only the event is done smoothly, but that any state of emergency can be avoided. The Ramlila and Dussehra festivals of this year will not only have large platforms, lights and cultural offers, but also safety and traffic management is the best priority.
