Dengue risk increased in Patna, 12 new patients found, the number of mosquitoes in school colleges is the reason for concern

The danger of Dengue in the capital Patna is constantly increasing. The district vector -born disease control officer Dr. Subhash Chandra Prasad informed that 12 new Dengue patients had been identified in Patna. Most of the patients are included in PMCH (Patna Medical College and Hospital). Dr Prasad said a total of 225 Dengue patients have been confirmed in the district since January this year. Increasing dengue cases have raised the concerns of health officials. He called on the people not to allow water in their homes and surrounding areas, as standing water is suitable for mosquitoes. The topic of particular concern is schools and colleges, where the increasing number of mosquitoes have become a serious threat to children. In order to protect children from dengue in schools and colleges, the administration aimed to strengthen mosquito control and cleanliness. Common symptoms include high fever, headaches, joints and muscle pain. Experts believe that if the symptoms of dengue occur, the nearest health center or hospital should be contacted immediately. Timely treatment can prevent critical condition. The Department of Health has called on the public to use mosquito nets to avoid mosquito bites, to wear clothes and clear the standing water immediately. People were also requested to consult a doctor immediately instead of taking medicine from themselves if the suspected symptoms of Dengue appear. The ongoing increase in Dengue cases in Patna increased the activism of the Department of Administration and Health. As part of the special campaign, the staff of the municipal and health department regularly perform mosquito control campaigns and clean the places that collect water stored places. Dr. Prasad warned that if people did not take precautions and did not stop the accumulation of water, the cases of dengue could continue to increase in the coming days. He called on the public’s cooperation, saying that it is not only the work of the Department of Health, but also the responsibility of all citizens. Share this story -tags
