In his remarks, Fadli said that culture plays a very important role in the formation of community values, including gender equality and child protection. The Ministry of Education and Culture emphasized that its efforts to fight for narrative justice for women, children and communities marginalized in the national cultural landscape. This step is confirmed as part of the efforts to build a more just and inclusive understanding of culture. “We are committed to giving room to women’s narratives, experiences of children and ways of life that were considered periphery. It is not a matter of cultural politicization, but a matter of epistemic justice, a fair way to understand and represent culture,” Fadli said. “As part of this initiative, the Ministry of Culture supports different cultural research and documentation. In Minangkabau, research and actions on the Bundo Kanduang are promoted, not only as a symbol, but as a socio-political actor,” he continued. Fadli added in Papua, the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with traditional mothers to document ritual practices full of education, environments and relationships between generations. The Ministry of Education and Culture has also taken a fixed stand to reject all forms of violence in the name of tradition. “Culture is not a impunity zone,” Fadli said. For this reason, collaboration is carried out with local communities, women’s organizations and young people in the review of cultural practices that do harm, do not care. Not only in the narrative aspect, the Ministry of Education and Culture has also built cultural infrastructure that is child -friendly and feminine, especially in underprivileged areas. Affirmative funds are allocated for women artists and cultural actors working in the marginal community. Traditional schools run by women also have support as an alternative education space that touches on the reason, body, country and social relationships. “It’s not a job for one or two days. It is a long -term work that requires collaboration on cross -minute art, especially with the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection,” Fadli said. Fadli emphasized that the efforts of contemporary culture rely on narrative justice, ethical alignments and the courage to change habits that were no longer humanized. According to artist Sapardi Djoko Damono, “women keep the air in his eyes and the children wrote it again in the rain”. “The joint task is to make the air progress, and the rain is not wasted a system that has forgotten that even a small seed can be the seed of change,” Fadli said.
