Bekasi – Deputy Chief of Police for Jaya, Brigadier General, Dekananto Eko Purwono inspects land for food security in Central Cikarang, Bekasi Regency. The 25 hectares of land is ready to be planted with maize. The land is located at Jalan Langkawi, Tembong Gunung Village, Sukamahi Village, Central Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency. Brigadier General Dekananto was welcomed by Bekasi Metro Police Chief Kombes Mustofa and Central Cikarang Police Chief AKP Elia Umboh, as well as the chief officers of Bekasi Metro Police and Central Cikarang Police. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT During the visit, the Deputy Chief of Regional Police received a brief explanation from the Chief of Police and the Head of Horticulture, Bekasi Regency Agricultural Service on soil conditions, plant types and management progress. The plan is currently to focus on planting maize with production/processing and maintenance costs estimated at IDR 20 million per hectare. Support for this program was also strengthened by the presence of the head of the Bekasi Regency Agricultural Service, who reported that the Agricultural Service provided assistance in the form of fertilizers to support soil fertility. Meanwhile, Brigadier General Dekananto emphasized in his briefing the importance of sustainability and development of this food security program. He emphasized that this program is a form of real support from the National Police for economic stability and community welfare. “This food security activity must continue to be developed, and be able to meet Bulog’s needs. I ask Binmas and Babinsa members to be able to coordinate community members to manage agriculture and to correctly calculate production costs,” said Brigadier General Pol Dekananto, in his statement, Saturday (18/10/2025).
