Sambhal, October 9 (IANS). Bahujan Samaj Party’s (BSP) National President Mayawati made a shocking attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) in a program arranged on the death anniversary of Kanhi Ram. The SP MP Zia Ur Rehman Burke responded sharply to the statement of Mayawati. He spoke to Ians and said, “There is a big difference between the actions and words of BSP. Muslims, Yadavs and Scheduled Cabinets (SC) are being prosecuted today in Uttar Pradesh and Mayawati Price BJP. That is why BSP has reached the margin of politics today.” He said that SP has always worked to take all divisions and that he has always stood against injustice. Mayawati’s allegations are unfounded. People know that only SP has supported them in difficult times. Mayawati claimed that the SP government, after coming to power, closed the schemes and institutions named after Kanshi Ram. Burke said again, saying, “It is wrong to make such allegations without evidence. The Muslims, Yadav and PDA communities have gained just as much benefit in the SP government as they never got into the BSP rule. On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh, Minister of Finance, Akhilesh Yadav, in Ayodhya, head of SPS, targeted SP, and said that his meeting with Azam Khan is only a gimmick to increase votes. Khanna said sarcastically: “When Azam Khan was in prison for 23 months, Akhilesh showed no sympathy. After the election approached, this pretend began.” SP MP Zia Ur Rehman Burke replied: “Akhilesh Yadav is a pure heart and takes care of all the party leaders. His encounter with Azam Khan is a symbol of mutual respect and unity, and not a political drama.” Burke said BJP leaders think that Azam Khan and Shivpal can form a new alliance together, but that is their pure imagination. All SP leaders are united. BJP’s efforts to create division in SP will fail. An attempt has been made to spread confusion by some media, but SP is stronger than before. The party will emerge more strongly in the coming times. —IANS AKS/ABM Share these Story Tags
