Almost five years later, spaces are marked to start exploiting Sand-Maurang in six new places in the district. In these places, a five -year lease is awarded. The Mining Division sent a list of ministry of the Ministry of Environment and sought a no objection certificate and searched in four places in Ghatampur and two places in Northpura in Bilhaur. The permission for the Mining of Northpura was received from the Ministry of Environment. No lease has been awarded for mining in the district for the past five years. The mining division identified six places of the Ganga-Yamuna strip. Two places each in Samuhi in Ghatampur, one place in Hardauli and Rampur, will be awarded for mining. In addition, leases for mining in Northpura and Durgapur van Bilhaur are awarded. The mining division receives an income of about Rs 20 crore per year from these leases. A letter was sent by the district administration to provide NOC from the Ministry of Environment in all these places. District mining officer Shani Kaushal said permission from the Ministry of Environment was sought for mining on 100 hectares of land. Mining was allowed in Northpura. It will be taken to grant the lease to get other places permission.
