Recovery of Rs 2 Crore of 14 Lakh Traffic Outers in Himachal Pradesh

More than 14 Lakh people in the state have not yet paid the traffic invoice issued by the police. According to police, police issued 51,48,295 challengers, of which 19,39,402 challengers were sent to the court. Currently, more than 14 Lakh outlines, which are about Rs 2 crore, are in court pending. To find out what the reasons for the non -payment of Challans are, the tourism and railroad unit of Himachal Pradesh recently took a survey in which 500 Challans samples from Shimla, Kangra, Mandi and Una districts were taken. The findings of the survey showed that many vehicle owners did not receive any information about the invoice due to old mobile numbers. Many vehicle owners did not find information about the Challan due to old cellphone numbers in the registration of vehicles, while the new owner did not update the vehicle’s details after purchasing the vehicle. Similarly, vehicle documents are not confiscated in e-Challan cases; There was a lack of awareness about the e-composition process among the people; Despite the pending Challan, the NOC (NOC) was issued for vehicles and some were seen pending on the portal, even after paying a challenge. Another important reason for the pending Challan was the lack of regular SMS details after the invoice was issued. Share this story -tags
