China allegedly planned to direct car collision on the Vice President of Taiwan in Prague, says reports | Today news

Czech Military Intelligence revealed that Vice President Hsiao Bi -khim’s official visit to Prague in March 2024 during the official visit of Taiwan in March 2024 devised a plan to intimidate her by setting up a car ball involving her protected motorcycle. Czech radio reported that although the scheme never advanced beyond the planning phase, supervision and preparations in the Embassy in China in Prague are underway, according to a Guardian report. Czech Intel uncovered the plot by Chinese diplomats during Hsiao Bi -khim’s March 2024 visiting agents, Hsiao’s airport convoy followed, and one diplomat even ran a red light and collected intelligence on her schedule and meetings, all in violation of diplomatic norms among the vienna convention. Local authorities were attentive and intervened to ensure her safety. Hsiao later thanked Czech officials and emphasized that such threats would not silence the voice of Taiwan on the global stage. “The illegal activities of the CCP will not intimidate me from expressing Taiwan’s interests in the international community,” she said in a position on social media. The Council of Taiwan’s mainland affairs condemned the plot as a serious threat to Hsiao’s safety and demanded a public apology from Beijing. The council argued that the actions “seriously threatened the personal safety of the Vice President and her delegation. The spokesman accused Prague of interfering in the internal affairs of China by facilitating the visit of Hsiao and repeating the long -standing position of Beijing that her activities supported ‘Taiwan independence -eparatizes’, a label that was fierce. Relationship with Beijing has deteriorated amid accusations of cyber attacks and growing ties with Taiwan, including recent visits by Taiwanese leaders such as Hsiao and former President Tsai Ing -Wen. Ambassador of China called up and still standing at his security measures.
