Tehran's Urelivation 'Theory' cannot be compromised: Iranian Foreign Minister

Tehran, April 16 (IANS). Foreign Minister Saeed Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday that there could be no compromise on his country’s uranium enrichment principle. His statement comes last week after the first round of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington in Oman. Araghchi commented on the ‘conflicting’ attitude of US authorities on the Iranian nuclear program and media enrichment. Araghchi said: “It is certain that Iran’s promotion is a real, acceptable and undisputed fact; we are ready to establish confidence about possible concerns. However, the principle of enrichment itself is not in jeopardy.” He said that in the last days we heard different things from the US side, some of which are contradictory, and it will in no way help in the dialogue process. “Araghchi insisted:” Nevertheless, we need to know about the right views of the US side in the dialogue session. When they come with creativity, I hope that we will be able to negotiate the exposition of the possible agreement. If it is not the work, the work will be difficult. “According to the news agency Xinhua, the Minister of Foreign said:” If the talks are on the same basis and in a reverent environment, they can move forward. However, the pressure and their position will not achieve anything. “Araghchi and the Middle East, US special envoy Steve Witchoff, will attend the second round of his indirect discussions on Saturday. His previous attitude when he said that Tehran can be allowed to enrich uranium at a low level.
